What Is Train to Gain?

Train to Gain is a new government service, funded through the Learning and Skills Council which is designed to offer employers access to a full range of training solutions to their skills needs which are :

• Employer-focused and led
• Delivered to meet employer's needs and fit with their business demands
• Flexible and responsive to the employer's expectations
• High quality

Funded Training and Qualifications

The service is underpinned by a free Skills Brokerage Service (this will be provided by independent and impartial brokers who will help employers identify training needs and appropriate training providers). These Skills Brokers will:

• Place the employer at the heart of training
• Identify the employer's training needs within their business context
• Support the employer's training needs beyond government-led activity
• Allow employers to choose the most appropriate training provider
• Integrate the training provision with other business support activity
• Flexible and responsive Training Provision - delivered by training providers who have demonstrated that they can deliver high quality employer-focused training.

Through Train to Gain an employer can gain access to:

• Fully funded training for a first full Level 2 qualification for eligible employees and any basic skills needs to complete the qualification
• Help from a Skills Broker to identify and possibly fund other training needs at a variety of levels
• Identification of a choice of suitable training provision

In the North West and West Midlands employers may also be eligible for funding towards an employee's first full Level 3 qualification.

Alternatively if you choose TTE Training Limited as your preferred training provider we will work with the Skills Broker on your behalf and may be able to draw down funding for your training needs through our own contract with the Learning and Skills Council.
